Microsoft's Direct Sales and Support division needed to determine a viable go-to-market strategy to effectively target small-and-medium enterprises online and in B&M stores. , Microsoft was one of the largest global technology companies with 228 total online stores, and over 100+ B&M stores at the time. Although they had experienced a sustained period of significant growth, they had fallen behind their competitors in terms of developing a feasible SMB-related program.
Yapp spearheaded efforts for the successful opening of the first Microsoft flagship store outside North America in Sydney Australia, exceeding launch forecast by over 250%.
Jeff Yapp also directed and coordinated the Microsoft retail expansion in China with 19 stores and achieved one of the highest ROIs of any retail investment to date.
As the business progressed, WutzNxt helped with the transition from B&M sales to online selling, from consumer selling to commercial selling and from hardware to software sales.
